New Feature Release: Product LCA & Supply Chain Module

June 25, 2024

Discover how they improve your data collection and accuracy

We are thrilled to announce the latest enhancements to our Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Supply Chain Module. These updates are designed to improve your data collection processes and enhance the accuracy of your assessments.

Here’s a detailed look at the new features and how they benefit your workflow.

Product LCA Module Updates

Product Knitting

We have refined the SBP algorithm to associate more accurate processes with specific knitted product types. This update will significantly improve the quality of the autogenerated process lists and impact assessments for the following items:

  • T-shirt
  • Shirt
  • Coat
  • Skirt
  • Top
  • Jacket
  • Jumper/Sweater
  • Vest
  • Cardigan

Coating of Fabrics

We’ve expanded our materials library to include the coating of fabrics with polymers. This update introduces new fabric type options:

  • Coated fabric woven
  • Coated fabric knit

By including these coated fabrics in the bill of materials, the accuracy of the Product LCA is enhanced.

New Material Category: Membrane

A new material category, membrane, has been added. This includes new processes such as membrane extrusion. Products incorporating membrane materials will now have a more precise impact assessment in their bill of materials.

Dashboard Updates on Cradle-to-Gate LCA

For products using the ISO framework with a cradle-to-gate system boundary, the dashboard will no longer display the downstream distribution card in the product impact recap. This streamlines the dashboard, making it more relevant and focused.

Supply Chain Module Enhancement

Autogenerate Supplier Code

The new "Autogenerate" button is a significant benefit for brands without an internal supplier codification system. This feature automatically generates a unique supplier code for each new supplier, ensuring consistency and saving valuable time in supplier management.
